Description	"You gave me much encouragement and food for thought by your enthusiastic responses to my own work on Carolingian liturgy, and I hope we can remain in correspondence with each other over this topic. I was heartened by your criticism of Bouhot's conclusions, which have given me much trouble. At the same time I will avoid use of the word 'Gallicanized' or 'Roman' and proceed far more cautiously when identifying texts with labels which had no meaning to the composers themselves of the texts."
