Description	Rhamnous, which Dr. Keefe specifies in her notes has no baptismal or otherwise Christian ruins, is a little-visited site with the Temple to Nemesis and a whole Roman garrison town, as seen in photo, on a fantastic point of land overlooking the sea. It is above Marathon, a stop on Dr. Keefe's route south to Olympus by Laureion. Dr. Keefe writes: "Supposedly the Persians brought a block of stone with them to commemorate the victory they thought they would have over the Greeks at Marathon in 490 BC, and when the Greeks won they dedicated it to Nemesis (Revenge) and a pupil of Psidaeus carved a statue of Nemesis out of it and they built a temple to her there."
