Description Dedicated to the divinities of smiths and artists, Hephaistos and Athena. One of the best surviving temples because of its conversion into a Christian church in 5th c. AD (St. George). Doric Temple, 449-415 BC. Dr. Keefe visited the ancient Agora on July 2 and saw the Hephaesteion at the opposite end.
