Zelle Williams Borland was the beloved teacher of the Lillie Duke Class of Duke Memorial United Methodist Church from the early 1950s through 1971 and from 1976 until her death in October 1980. Her teaching notes were bound in these volumes by the class as an expression of their love for Zelle, and in grateful appreciation for the inspiration of her teaching.
