| Description | Dr. Keefe's English translation of Text 12 from the Latin which appears in her Explanationes Symboli Aevi Carolini (Turnhout: Brepols, 2012), 70–71. The translation includes notes and brief commentary. Dr. Keefe left both in draft form and may have intended to update or add certain portions prior to publication. The text has been checked and edited by Katie Benjamin, Divinity Archive Fellow. Dr. Keefe notes that little attention is paid to the Trinity in Text 12, compared to other texts; the Holy Spirit is mentioned just once, and the filioque doctrine does not appear at all. Rather, the composer seems more concerned with defending the divinity of Christ. | en_US |
