Description:
Hans Hillerbrand asks Dr. Keefe to review an article on canon law submitted for his Encyclopedia of the Reformation project. It has already been flagged for exceeding limits on length and demonstrating little appreciation for the norms of English grammar, but the editors hoped Dr. Keefe might read it for content from the position of an expert. She does so, "with a good deal of agony." She observes, "I felt like I was correcting one of my worst M. Div. students' papers. It tries to do too much and succeeds in doing nothing well."
