Description From Dr. Keefe's journal: "On to Aigosthena. Incredible views of Corinthian Gulf as we did hairpin turns to get there. The place was marked 'Ancient Christian Basilica' and, as book plan showed, there was a pretty, tiny Byzantine church built right over nave of ancient church of 5 aisles. All 5 aisles can be made out + apse + baptistery wonderfully preserved on south side w/font still there (sunken - hexagonal inside octagon inside square + trapezoidal annex to east of baptistery room... What amazed me was how small the ante-room before the baptistery was + how small the bap. itself was!"
