This collection provides access to public domain and open access digitized books and art related to Asian religions and cultures, with emphasis on religions indigenous to South Asia and East Asia, and with a particular focus on religion and culture in India, China, and Japan. Included are items related to the subject newly digitized from the Duke Divinity School Library and Library Service Center collections, and resources provided through other institutions to round out the subject.

The Asian Religions and Cultures Special Collection was created by University of North Carolina-Greensboro MLIS student Jimi Wilson as part of a Library and Information Sciences practicum February-April, 2017, under the supervision of Digitization and Technology Librarian Phu Nguyen.
