Description In this town there was a French Catholic church now turned into a museum with a wonderful collection of Christian tomb mosaics, all from Uppena or the Basilica of Sidi Abich (near Enfida, but now gone). The Christian mosaics (s. V) are often arranged in the museum with a pagan votive stele under them. One of these stele was inscribed: "LNUMITORIUS FELIX BURRI SACERDOS SATURNI AUG VOTA SOLVIT FELICITER." This tomb mosaic is the very tombstone of Honorius who came to the General Synod convoked at Carthage by the Vandal King Huneric in 484, after which Honorius was exiled to and died in Uppena. "HONORIUS EPISCOPUS VIXIT ANNIS XC. DEPOSITUS SUB DIE [5II=VII?] IDUS AUGUSTAS."
