Description Ruins are on side of road. No ticket or museum. Ruins of Byzantine church with a circular sunken baptismal font (with local guide standing in it to give sense of depth). The baptistery building with this font was located just to the northwest of the church (just beyond and to the left of the apse). A large stone vat (Dr. Keefe noted it was strange that the vat was right in the wall of the apse of the church) collected water for the font. The vat has a hole near its bottom which permits the water to flow down into the font, a few yards away (see photo 71).
