Description:
A dirt road climbing up and turning off the main road leads past a great field of high weeds enclosed by a high fence. Amid waist-high thistles and prickles there were church ruins and sarcophagi with inscriptions strewn about, and knocked over capitals and pillars. At rear of chrch remains is this quatrefoil baptismal font. Henchir el Fouar, 5 miles northeast of Beja on the road to Mateur.
