An initiative of the Divinity School student body, Encounter appeared in three issues from 1955-1956 with a mission "to provide for a creative meeting between the theological disciplines we study and the practical life of the parish." Encounter was co-edited by Jack Crum and Robin Scroggs in 1955, with Ted Morton and Moody Smith assuming editing duties for 1956.
