Mosaic of Virgin Mary and Christ Child that includes Constantine the Great (presenting the city) and Justinian I (presenting the Hagia Sophia). It is over the southern entrance of the Hagia Sophia. The Greek letters (mu/rho) (theta/upsilon) represent the abbreviations for mater theou (Mother of God).
