This mosaic in the narthex of the Hagia Sophia over the imperial gate depicts Christ Pantocrator, and emperor (possibly Leo VI or Constantine VII), Mary and the archangel Gabriel. Scroll purportedly reads" Peace be with you; I am the light of the World".
